I have 30 + years of practice experience working within four Local Authorities which has included family work, direct work with children, life story work, experience with mentally ill clients, youth offenders, assessment skills, work with elders as well as extensive experience of working with diversity. I have also worked as a manager including management of the duty system and have been a member of two adoption & fostering panels as well as experience working with disability with Adults and Children.
I deliver the training direct – I do not sub-contract, so you will always know it is me that will be working with your staff and I am fully answerable for the quality of what I deliver. Intelligent Communication was established in 1987.
People that I train:
These include social workers, family centre staff, learning mentors, multi agency groups, police, teachers, managers, teenagers, care leavers. Also, foster carers and adopters – I have been a foster carer for 8 years.
All my work is regularly reviewed & upgraded & will include up to date research as well as that which has been learned from inquiries. We are hot on our ethics and take a pride in setting high standards in respect of diversity and difference. We are very clear about our purpose: – to make a significant positive difference to the life chances of children from abusive and neglectful families. All my work has that in mind.
